Rabbis
In 1782 Israel Samuel Belcher settled in Bellingwolde. He was born in Krakow around 1745, and approximately 1756 he moved to Minden. There he became precentor quite young.
As of about 1767 to 1777 he was precentor, sjochet and 'Rabbi' in Bückeburg, and from 1777 to 1782 in the same positions in Glückstadt. It is unknown whether he actually worked as Rabbi in Bellingwolde and surroundings.
