Rabbis

In the Jewish Congregation of Bourtange there is talk of a self-styled Rabbi Salomon Israël Lippschütz in 1780. In that same year he was summoned to appear in court in Kleve.

There is probably a kinship with the famous Israel Lippschütz, Rabbi of Kleve.
