Although there is mention in the literature of the fact that Jewish people in Leens bought a building that served as synagogue, proof hereof is lacking. It is not impossible that in one of their houses a room was furnished as synagogue.
It took until 1885 before the Jewish Congregation Ulrum-Leens had a synagogue built at the Julianastraat, it was consecrated on August 1st, 1885. This building burned down in 1909 and was then rebuilt. Presently this former synagogue is a home.
