Cemetary
The exact foundation date of the cemetery is unknown. It probably dates from 1811. In June of that year the Jewish Congregation requests the Local Authority namely to assign a piece of property to be developed into a cemetery.
This cemetery is located at the Bunder Gate outside the former wall at the Tichelstraat. On this cemetery the Jewish people from Bunde Germany were buried here until 1874 as well. There are 44 tomb-stones, the oldest dates from 1818.
