Cemetary
At first the Jewish people of the villages we mentioned buried their deceased at the cemetery in Appingedam. In 1863 a piece of property was rented from the town of Loppersum for 100 years, that was developed into a cemetery.
This cemetery was located at the corner of the Molenweg and the Schepperij. In 1886 the Jewish people obtained a piece of property at the General Cemetery. Currently there are yet 25 stones.
