Cemetary

The first Jewish cemetery was located at the Liefkenkanaal, and is referred to as such for the first time in 1792. It would remain in use until 1828.

In 1969 the cemetery was cleared. As part of the General Cemetery a new cemetery was obtained after the old cemetery was closed in 1828 at the present Sint Vitrusholt.
